Quite fortunately, my dad was waiting, Starbucks in hand, at the Memphis airport. After some miscommunication last week I am glad my parents decided I was important enough to come pick up, seeing as they thought I would just magically have a ride to Starkville on Sunday. Love you mom and dad!
Quite unfortunately, Anna called me about 30 minutes outside of Memphis and said she and three others didn't get their bags. OH MY. I would have been beyond furious and I completely understood her pain, because it's happened to me before. (She finally got her bag last night.)
The ride from Memphis to Starkville was so. long. My dad and I talked, but honestly I was just ready to be "home" and eat a good meal! (food, duh) It was great to see my mom and Conner, too, and I can't wait for Mary Clair to get home!
Everyone has asked me about my trip. Did I like it? Was it fun? YES to all of the above! It was an incredible experience and so worth my time. Quebec and Canada as a whole are just great places to visit. Great food, great sites, great people, great culture. It's all great. Yes, we were ready to come home toward the end, but only because we had had enough of the Hotel Manoir des Remparts, and we had spent all of our money.
So here I am now, readjusting to the life of a sorority girl. Pre-recruitment started today, and recruitment starts sometime next week. Then classes start on the 17th. Where did the time go?!
